I think the Pentax Remote Assistant software works only with the *istD, K10/20D bodies (two different s/w versions).

only *istD and K10/20/7? owners are supposed to use the remote assistant software.
However, the version for the *istD does more or less work with the lesser *ist series bodies provided you haven't updated the firmware.
Obviously none of us would dream of using software in violation of its license agreement, so this information is for educational purposes only

thanks all i have tried it but i have to say it doesn't work properly, it was worth a try any way.....

I've wanted to try it but i'd rather ask and find out if it is instead of trying it and messing my laptop or camera and having to fork out hundreds of £££'s to replace both.....
