Will the T adaptor allow the fitting of a Minolta RF 500mm F8 AF Mirror lens onto my Pentax K10D?? I have seen a second-hand one.

i've got the Tamron 500 - had it on an olympus OM10 many years ago. got a pentax mount on ebay and away i went.

it's a great lens... when you get it in focus! the focus band is very narrow, even at a distance, but i always loved the texture of the lens and it's been great to be able to use it again.
Pentax k1000, MX, ME Super, K5iiD 18-55, Tamron 70-300, Tamron 500 mirror, pentax 10-17, 50 1:4, a manual 28, some extension tubes and a bagful of memory cards. That's all i need... and a load of film cameras too... that's it, honest.

OMG, the zombie thread arrises!!!!

SPB, the T2 mount is just an early attempt by Tamron at an adaptable system for all lenses on all SLRs. Like the later Adaptall mount, it only works with lenses designed for it.

The minolta you mention probably has their own bayonet mount, so it wont work
you don't have to be mad to post here

but it does help

Thanks Mongoose, so the guy in the shop was right. It looked in v. good condition with AF as well, unique for a 500mm reflex lens. It apparently works with the Minolta(now Sony) DSLR's as it should coming from the Minolta range.

Aah well continue saving for that 300 DA*
