A few from the isle of Aix, a small island (a 2 hours' walk around it, at a leisurely pace) just off the coast west of Rochefort and south of La Rochelle.

Some lovely monochromes. Great eye. I really like 2 and 3. I like 1 too, but I find myself wondering that the funny horizontal line in the sky is? Is it just a con trail? I would be tempted to clone it out and see what that looks like.

Thank you all. David, of the three, I miss the sun (and its warmth) most! Flan and LennyB, that's pseudo-polarizing in pp, but I liked how it worked. And 7 might be my favorite there too, Lenny. Kris, a contrail most definitely. Didn't bother me, but now that you've put your finger on it... (and there's one in 3, too).

They may be mono but they feel so sunny and warm
