is this long enough

I was bemused to find this whilst surfing ....

I wonder if it's long enough to meet peoples needs for long lenses

it seems to be T-mount, goodness know what it's like, personally I'd be somewhat dubious as to the quality or usability, but hey, it's there ...

Apparently it doesn't have an aperture and no tripod mount. What a beast

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

I keep looking interestedly at these:

A few sellers have them, I hear they're not particularly good lenses but I'm open to being persuaded either way. They're a bit too expensive to buy on the offchance that you'll get some good results (as opposed to "Lens in a Cap" and cheap Russian glass where it's worth the money for a few hours fun playing with it).

A manual focus lens of gigantic proportions that may be very difficult to use. Not the thing for rapid action shots, that's for sure.

I wouldn't waste my money. You'd be better off with the Pentax 55-300mm and cropping the image.
Best regards, John

Yep, or my old Pentax-F 100-300mm and doing the same. Pity, as those giant telephotos do look cool!
