yes, a bit slow tonight. No doubt it will speed up as the night progresses, or someone will reboot the server and away we'll fly!

It was slow last night as were a lot of websites. There is a good reason why this might have happened.
Today is when the Internet domain name servers change protocol to the new DNSSEC. It was rolled out over the past month the major switch over started last night.
There was a worry that everything might fall over - at the extreme but the general opinion was that there may be some sluggishness for a few hours or a day or two.

I know of people who did have failures last night and this morning but a full reboot of their network/router/modem has solved it.

It was OK during the day (at work and that's a slow connection) but now is slow tonight.
