I thought you had been offered the lens, not buying it on ebay.
Most people know what a lens is worth (though some slip through the net) so, as the saying goes, if it looks too good to be true it probably is.
Here's a good place to see how lenses are regarded, both Pentax and 3rd party lenses. Don't take much notice of the prices, as they are an indication rather than accurate.

I just couldnt be bothered explaining about ebay ect... I was still able to buy the lens for £10 so not really sure it matters.

The front and rear caps are often worth more than the lens...
in fact I might stop buying lenses and just buy front and
rear caps!

I have never seen an f/1.2 offered for £10, but plenty of badly described f/2 lenses for £10. The designation 1:2 on the lenses can cause confusion. 1:1.2 is something else, and one for £10 should get any Pentax User rather excited at the prospect.

If it was a f1.2 i would offer you £200 in the hope you would bite my hand off , because f1.2 is worth a lot more
