I haven't used an ND grad in a long while
Not since the K5 and 14 bit RAW + Lightroom
But interesting idea - wonder how it will handle that in the output stage?

He He, I don't anymore either Matt, using exactly your setup but an awful lot of my fellow landscapers do, and frown upon me for saying I don't need em, then tell me I can't be taking it seriously!

Really, they must just be envious of your lack of visible filter line!

Exactly. The grad filters in lightroom also have far more parameters than just exposure value.

Promising tech idea but likely to be poorly implemented and somewhat clunky, at least in first-gen form. Think about how often you use in-camera HDR, for example...
It'll probably be quicker to use actual grad filters for those who still rate them (or sit staring at the Lightroom interface for those who don't!).
