Couldn't agree more. Love the 'feel' of my K10D, it was what made me choose the Pentax over the Nikon D80 at the time and I have held off upgrading to a K7/K5 because of the body, though I think I would eventually get used to it though it's fair to say that I wouldn't choose the Pentax now on the ergonomics.

Same here the K10D/K20D has perfect ergonomics for me, however I'd love a full frame version 36 x 24mm sensor 24MP+ or even the k-5 sensor in a K20D body.Love the 'feel' of my K10D, it was what made me choose the Pentax over the Nikon D80 at the time and I have held off upgrading to a K7/K5 because of the body, though I think I would eventually get used to it though it's fair to say that I wouldn't choose the Pentax now on the ergonomics.

It's a nice thought, but I don't think our petition of 2 will get very far in Pentax HQ

I think the idea is to differentiate themselves from Canikon with the small bodies, particularly if they are going to enter the FF field. I don't think this is going to end up with radically smaller traditional APSC bodies, but of course the mirrorless ones will be as small as poss.
Pentax do seem to be focussing on the producing bodies to complement the Ltd lenses, which makes sense as they are possibly Pentax's greatest USP. This isn't great news if you desire long, fast lenses and want to shoot mainly sports and wildlife. But if that's you, Pentax has never really answered your wishes in the past, what makes you think they are going to start now?
Lol, after all that the first thing they'll probably announce is a massive body with 20fps, predictive autofocus and a 600mm f1.8

To be honest I'm not that bothered what they announce because the stuff I want from any manufacturer I can't really afford
I believe I will get the K5 at some point (or maybe the next one whatever it's called) but don't have any realistic desire for super fast long lenses or full frame, etc as they will be financially out of my reach. I don't really want the ltd's either I just don't think I have LBA ...
By far my best lense is my Sigma 100-300mm and I could get that in any mount so as long as I have a half decent camera to stick it on I will be happy
I feel like an old git (at 38!) when Pentax announce something new and I think to myself "but I don't like change!"

Because you're not the only one that they're targeting My hands are not small, but out of K100D, K10D and K5, my hands seems to be made for the K100D and K5 and not so much the K10D.Thanks for that feed back, however I much prefer the feel of the cameras I have and can not see me purchasing a smaller body. Other people might have a different 'feel'.

Actually, this insistence on small bodies was one thing that held me back from sticking with Pentax when I bought my first digital body and still, size is not a major concern to me. It might not be a real concern but I felt (and still feel to some degree) that too much focus and resources where spent on something I at best did not consider central and were possibly even compromising its quality and longevity. Today, I appreciate the small primes and the K5 is ok size but I would not mind it being slightly larger but not much heavier.
As for the interview - bit of a waste! For the interviewer to get some proper answers and for Pentax to give a hint they have a strategy for the future. Don't they have anybody in that company but tech guys? Like, someone who cares about communication? In the past years I feel like I have been a shareholder of a company that refuses to tell what they deal with.

-- Somehow it feels like a 35mm full-size mirrorless is truly in our near future.
Kitazawa: Near future? Thank you (laughter).
-- Certainly things seem to be leaning that way. I mean, from the direction of this conversation, and Pentax's attitude.
Kitazawa: These are just my personal feelings. Just my thinking!
- But even if you say it's just your personal stance, Mr. Kitazawa, surely it's still a reflection of what Pentax is thinking?
Kitazawa: No, of course not, this is just my personal thinking.
Moving forward at Pentax, we want to make even our entry-level SLR models offer full coverage. Without fail.
