My wife just arrived back with my present from Singapore and I've banged off a few quick shots to see what the 10-17 fisheye is like. First impressions are that it seems razor sharp and the close focusing is very impressive - looks like it's going to be a fun lens. On reviewing the raw files on my computer I'm seeing some CA although it's not desperately bad.

There are a few more shots here: http://www.pbase.com/niblue/fisheye

When I get time I'll post some comparisons with my Sigma 10-20.

Fantastic, did you know you had a stone chip on your wing?

Nice car ...nice gallery too.

The fisheye effect is superb, sharpness and rendering look very good indeed. I contemplated getting this lens too but opted for the DA12-24 instead, I think I'll get more use from it...but If I remember niblue you have the Sigma 10-20?

Here's a couple I took tonight with the DA12-24 as a comparison, both at 12mm, notice how close the infocus range changes between wide open and closed down.

Brian, now you're just showing off - a 12-24 and a Les Paul Custom?? I'm not sure which one I'll mug you for.

All original, it's a 1979 Silverburst thats mellowed to a beautiful antique golden colour.
