Just returned from a trip to Morocco and met someone with a K10D converted into an IR camera which looks interesting!
He did it in the states, but is this service available in england??
or does anyone have one and know how much it roughly costs =P

this ^ US company does the conversion, they also sell brand new converted bodies too.

They state they also sell the parts for 'home' conversion, though id personally consider buying the parts then getting a pro over here to actually do the work...

I raised a question on a similar line a while back, it's here

There's some links in the thread regarding conversions as far as I recall.
Cheers, HG

K110+DA40, K200+DA35, K3 and a bag of lenses, bodies and other bits.

Mustn't forget the Zenits, or folders, or...

PPG entries.

Advanced Camera Services will do it, for a price.

A conversion is the "proper" way to do it, but the earlier DSLRs such as the *istDS are better at recording IR images than the K10D or later. Presumably from the K10D onwards IR was more heavily filtered out.

An *istDS is good to play with to see if you like the IR effects enough to have a camera fully converted.
Best regards, John
