With all due respect Siminmac, there have been quite a few winners in the competitions that are not worth a print but that’s just an opinion dare I say.
I would prefer a critical analysis of why the image is good or not so good.
My own personal view on a photograph is that it grabs my attention for some reason “maybe unknown to me at the time” and not it’s technical perfection which won’t cover for a boring image , having submitted a number myself.😔
Is it possible to have a higher resolution image for the winner to showcase , not likely on this site.

Surely, having the winner go to all the hassle of producing and sending a printed version to the judge would be a DIS incentive to enter contests (in case you ended up the winner). And would the judge want a copy of it?

Glad to be shooting Pentax again after a while.
Would it be an idea that competition winners sent a print of their photo to the judge?
