What a shame HG It would have been good to see you again and shake the hand of the father of a maths genius!
If anybody wants to come along Ken and I will be stretching our legs on a short stroll on Ilkley Moor. The bog cotton and other moorland are plants in flower - at last a chance to get a photo without the heather! Grouse and curlew are about.
History wise there are ancient carved rocks, the White Wells spa, a tarn, ancient rock carvings and a new carved poetry trail (Stanza Stones - Simon Armitage)
Excellent view across Wharfedale.
PLus my cute border collie in his element if he stops hiding from strangers..
Ken and I will be meeting around 11.00am on Sunday. For further details send a pm to one of us.
