Ideas needed to spend

Oddly as it seems, despite my earlier post re LBA, in about 3 weeks i will have around £1000 to spend on Photographic gear. I am happy with my K20 so do not feel the need for the K7, I am also happy with my current lenses; see my sig. Have no great desire to get into flash. I have access to a pro quality A3 printer. So the question is what would you do : I HAVE to spend the money on photographic gear, so a week in italy will not suffice.
Come on folks I need good ideas

Well if you HAVE to spend it on photo gear but you don't want any, I can send you a wishlist !

You could go wider with a fisheye, or treat yourself to a prime or 2 at your most used focal lengths.
A Carbon tripod perhaps ?

TBH always thought carbon tripods a bit over priced, am thinking about a Bigma, if only because I can sell it on if i dont use it. 10-17 fisheye does appeal particularly after a recent thread, had forgotten about that one.
Sorry Barrie, the wife gets first option on Italy of course there is always a chance : maybe better not go there.

Buy lenses, sell them straight away and then use the money for a week away (Italy is nice at this time of year apparently).

Have I seen adverts for residential photography courses? You could kill two birds with one stone.

How about investing in an LX (the top Pentax mechanical SLR) and a complete set of original K lenses? It would be an investment too as they'd always be worth at least what you paid.

nice little windfall

how about a good quality travel tripod - since you have lots of £££ to splurge how about looking into feisol or gitzo, should shift a good £300-500 nicely ?

A grip for the K20 ?

Some ND and/or polarising filters ??

travel/hiking rucsac for photo gear ?

new computer & pp'ing software ??

some dumbells to get into training for the bigma ??

Personally I would go for a good tripod and some quality glass - a prime or two to add to your zooms maybe as you say you're happy with them, you'll think about your photography differently using primes.

just my 2d worth, enjoy the choices - tough one

Think one recently went on ebay for about £180 ish, not my scene realy.
Have full sets of ND grads and polarisers, a grip dos`nt appeal.
My windfall is a gift from a relative, he is specific that it should be for photographic equipment, so a new computer is out.

Have decided am going to add 1 lens to my collection, almost certainly used, and not a prime. Looking to go to 400mm or beyond
Will probably sell my 16-45 on ebay, just to rationlise.

What about the DA* 300mm f4 prime lens - I love mine and whenever I see pictures taken with one of them the quality of the lens seems to show... Mind you, it won't add any further reach than you have already with the 55-300..., although it is weatherproof. might be worth a look? Should be able to get a second hand one and still have some change for something else (maybe a teleconverter).

Regards

Do you do much indoor shooting and is your sig up to date? Perhaps some faster lenses.
