Some very impressive images, I really like the South shore road to Reykjavic image. Am hoping to get their next year, it looks like a photographers dream.

Thanks guys...it really is a photographers paradise, I'd love to go back again but next time just for photography as most of my shots were taken whilst on organised tours so time/locations were limited

Oooooh - big jealousy admission here
Iceland is one of my 'must do' locations but will probably need to wait until the little fella is older - I don't think it would be his thing right now and probably not fair to leave him behind either
Nice shots Simon - number 3 catches my eye the most

Absolutely top class Simon, every one of them. The Northern lights image in particular is spectacular and is the best of its kind I have seen on this site this year. I love the way your images display such clarity and purity and I would love to know which camera and lens combination you've used here - I'm guessing K-5 and DA 17-70, but I might be way off the mark?

Thanks everyone, enjoyed every minute of my visit and may well revisit some time in the future just for the photography.
First two shots were K5 + 12-24, rest DA17-70, the first one especially needed the 12mm, unfortunately it still wasn't wide enough to capture the full effect of the Northern lights and include foreground interest so I shot the one below without foreground as a record shot really
