Huey or Spyder 2

Huey Pro arrived this pm and I have calibrated my monitor at long last.
Procedure was pretty simple, but:

a) my screen now looks more pink, which is off putting, is this normal?

b) the instructions do not seem to take into consideration what your backlight on LCD monitor would be set at, mine was set at 60.
Or if the screen should have Input sensing switch to 'auto on'?
Do you think this affects the calibration at all?
