If you are shooting under fluorescents then you should be doing a manual white balance and if you are shooting RAW it doesn't matter at all.

You don't really want to abandon the camera because some of its preset white balance settings are inappropriate for some of your shots.
Getting the white balance acceptable can be especially difficult for indoor photography. I wouldn't trust any brand of camera to get it precisely as I want it with its presets anyway.
