How use my "new" AF-540FGZ I ?

Posted 16/06/2016 - 07:10 Link
Hi to all
I recently bought a 540 flash. Before I had the Metz 52 but that Pentax seems better. Usually I never use the flash if not for few situations: indoor celebrations, events, conferences and would also use it as fill-in outdoor backlit portraits. I'll use it on my K3 with 16-85 (that I find wonderful).
I ask you, experts, tips on how to use the flash in coupled to my k3 to get balanced picture, correctly exposed, in indoor situations (preferrably in ceiling bounce if possible) and also as a fill light for portraits light.
Latest info: the AF-540FGZ I when the batteries (Sanyo eneloop) are slightly exhausted ins't shot instantly ... is this normal? THANKS IN ADVANCE and sorry too many questions (I am newbie in the use of flash)
