How to save money on shipping insurance

I got the package safe and sound yesterday and found it hilarious to see the seller cleverly disguised the valuable contents by packing it in a Canon 20D box. Hell, he totally wasted the money he spent on insurance dont you think?

always drug the other bidders on an ebay auction.
alternatively you could take the concept of "ebay sniping" too literally, but I suspect the police wouldn't be too happy about that one.
