How much should I pay for a Pentax F 50mm f/1.4?

Hello,

I'm interested in getting hold of a Pentax F 50mm f/1.4 lens and there's one on eBay that I'm going to make a bid on.

However, I don't really have any idea what a good price for this lens would be! I don't want to pay over the odds without realising it.

The lens is described as being in near mint condition, but comes without a box. The current bid is £122.

The last couple have gone for around £120 to £130 (again, near mint).

Thanks for the info. As this one is already at that level, with just under a day left, it'll probably end up going for a bit more than I really want to pay

they seem to go for about $40 US on ebay.... so even with shipping to there, I think it would be cheaper.

I doubt very much indeed that you could get an F/FA lens for such a price. In fact when I sold my F lens, it went the other way acroos to the US at a very much higher price than $40. I rather suspect you are looking at the prices for an A or M lens and even these tend to go for more than this.

Yeah, I've been keeping an eye on eBay for a week or so now (UK and US) and the F and FA lenses do tend to go for a fair bit more than $40! I might end up getting a manual focus 'A' lens, to save a bit of money, and I don't mind having to focus manually. Just gotta keep my eyes peeled to try and pick up a bargain
