How do you post images within your posts?

First you must have your images online somewhere - Photobucket, flickr or your own website for instance.
Then you copy the url of the image you want to post and click on the Img button above. You will see the Comment Image
tag. Press preview to be sure it has worked.
In Photobucket you just click on the tag IMG code under the thumbnail then paste in the forum.

I can post a link in but I can't insert a photo, i.e. some folks have the actual image in the post, not a link :

That's what Gwyn has just described.

If you have an image uploaded to the web somewhere (ie, your own webspace, or pbase etc), it will have a URL, something like this:

http://www.DanielBridge.co.uk/pentax/hoverfly1.jpg

if you then put Comment Image
at the end, it will embed the image in your post, like this:

Hope that helps,

This is weird as i was asking the same question last week.
Right here we go.

Open up the pic you want to post from Flickr/Photobucket or whichever one you use and decide what magnification you want then right clik on the image click properties and highlight address url, ( it will have the word farm in it ). When highlighted right click and copy then go to the pentax forum you want and click on new topic and paste item in between
[img] paste photo [img].
Hope this helps. good luck.

With Picasa's web gallery the process is a lot more complicated. Google really went overboard with the complexity of it all and not with features.

I only went with it because I hate Yahoo and already had a Gmail account.

With picasa you have to click the 'link to this image' button on the right and then choose a size 144, 300 or 800 and then copy the link. After you copy the link it looks like a jumbled mess.

<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/tyr.francoperlak/Skipton/photo#5094776445005533234"><img src="http://lh4.google.com/tyr.francoperlak/RrRILvaVEDI/AAAAAAAAAWk/Q-gnV01hBN0/s800/Skipton%20from%20the%20Moor.jpg" /></a>

(I selected size 800)

That has to be cut to:

LBA test shot, 'new' A28f2.8

Contrast was not good on that day because it was hazy. Light was not very good either, but we had to keep moving.
