Hot pixels - proper tool

Hi
This software looks really cool to remove hot pixels. But sometimes it assumes a normal pixel ( having diffrent intensity than the surrounding pixels) as hot pixel. It might be just a white button in a black shirt.
Does someone know, where shd we fix threshold for hot or very hot pixel to get only hot pixels not the artifacts.
Is there any standard procedure. Please write back to [email protected]">[email protected]

Looks very interesting (especially as my *istD has acquired three hot pixels at 800-3200ISO )
Max Lyons wrote PTAssembler, a GUI for Panorama Tools. He's just exhibited a 1gigapixel image: http://www.imaging-resource.com/EVENTS/PMAS04/1076707253.html
Would be nice to see that
