Horses in competition

I'm passionate about photographing horses and here are some in competitions. You can never be quite sure what will happen next but that's part of the fun. All too often the obstacles are not placed for the convenience of the photographer, which can make lighting a little tricky.

Apologies if they're a bit big. Any suggestions on improvements welcome !

A really good set there..and I say this as someone with no interest in horsey things.

I particularly like 3 and 4..never realised that horses wore shin protectors!

Nice set really impressed with the horse detail in 3 & 4 and the rider in 4 almost looks like he is waiting to get spat off
Pint o' rough & a game o' darts anyone

Thanks, H.
I ride but you wouldn't catch me doing any of that stuff Some of those jumps are really scary. As horses' eyes are on the side of their heads, they cannot see immediately in front of them, so they have to trust their riders ... How they cope with a jump that has a steep drop on the far side, I just don't know.
