Hornet?

Yes, a hornet! They look very intmidating, but they're less aggressive than wasps, so you're not likely to get stung by one unless you really annoy it.
Taken shots myself near nests, and it's always disconcerting hearing their (very loud) buzzing coming up behind you, but they've always just flown straight past. So far.
A nice shot, but it does suffer a bit from the enlargement.

I always nearly soil my undergarments when I'm taking macro shots and a hornet flies past. They're so large and seem to have a very determined manner. It's particularly bowel loosening when they appear to zoom off, only to turn around and zoom directly back to you
Oh, I don't like wasps either, can't trust the buggers
That's a nice capture. As Dan says, might benefit from downsizing a little.

Less aggressive than wasps? Back in Canada where I grew up, hornets, with their dangling legs and wild looks, were easily the most aggressive of all flying stinging things. I saw a terrier overwhelmed by an entire colony of them. I swear the poor thing would have died except it was rescued by its worried owners.
Wasps are rather benign unless you annoy them exceedingly. Hornets will attack for the fun of it. Either way, have your camera ready!

Nice shot Xbow, you are very game to get so close, he certainly doesn't look impressed with your presence
