Hood compatibilty

As long the filter diameter of both lenses are the same I think the 18-270 would work on the 18-250, however it depends on how the hood fit onto the lens is a different matter.
Z-1p, K-1, P50
F50 1.7. SMC-FAs 24, 35, 50 1.4, 85, 135. HD-FA15-30, DFA24-70, D-FA*70-200. The SMC-FA Limited Trinity.
Metz 45 CL-4, AF500FTZ. AF540FGZ.
Some Mamiya and some Nikon, and a Canon T70.

Thanks Pwynnej. Yes both are 62mm but have different ID letters RBB as opposed to RBD which makes me question compatibility.

I have just tried it out and both hoods fit both lenses perfectly well. They also look very similar in terms of how much shading they offer, but whether or not one vignettes slightly I cannot say from just looking. The finish on the plastic is slightly different, but that's just cosmetic.
