Homework - Symmetry

John - it's gorgeous but waaaaaaay beyond my capabilites . That needs a skill with PSE that I don't possess - but I'll certainly remember that for the future

I dont think flipping an image would win you any brownie points with the tutor anyway, I would guess the exercise is to capture one with the camera, otherwise you might as well just sit in a classroom and learn photoshop

Come on Techno! You can do it, have faith in yourself. As you see, everyone's more than happy to offer ideas but I don't like to hear this talk of 'comfort zones' - or see that dunces hat avatar!

Much easier way than flipping, nicer looking as well. Do you possess a mirror?

The dunce hat will stay for a while It will go when I have more confidence in myself .

This course is brilliant but it's also very challenging for me coming from years with a wee P&S , and us oldies don't learn as fast as we used to do .

One of the problems of course is the fact that until now I just used to wander about with my wee kodak and something would strike me - a bit of stonework on a building , some leaves in a garden , an arcaded street in Spain , that sort of thing - and then I'd take a few pics for my pleasure and the memories - yup - the typical tourist . This being set a challenge to show something is not easy for me.

I like the thought of using a mirror - but I'm not sure the freestanding one I have can be used for this - it's quite small . I'll experiment on Thursday [ tomorrow is rather occupied ]

Some ideas are beginning to form in my head - we will see what comes to fruition .
