Holkham Beach, Norfolk

Hi all Spent a couple of very tranquil days camping in the van next to Holkham Beach on the North Coast of Norfolk last week. Hadn't been there for quite a few years, and had been dying to get back for a while. For those of you who haven't had the pleasure, it's a rather beautiful white sand beach just up from Wells next the Sea, and is famous for its beach huts. It can get pretty busy in the summer, but in winter like most places it can be quite windswept and empty. It also happens to have an immense tidal range, which is the bit that rather interests me, and is bordered by a tidal creek on one side, and the North Sea on the other... on a fast rising tide, it's, well... These are delicious, perfect examples of minimalism. I'm sure Dr Orloff who set and judged the latest weekly competition on the subject of minimalism will appreciate these as well.
It must have been a very relaxing break for you Bill but this time of year on the Norfolk coast I'm sure it was also bracing to say the least.
