BTW...Placed a deposit on a K1000 35mm job. I'm hoping the 50mm that comes with it has the 'A' selector button on it, so I cane use it in Aperture priority mode on my DSLR's.

Welcome, where are you from.
I think you will find the K1000 will have the K 50mm not the A. but it will still work with your K7.

Well equipment wise... I have about four or five Zenits, a Praktica MTL5 and a couple of Zorki's. Digital wise I usually shoot on my KR if the weather is fine, my K7 if it's not.
