It's on an incline. Coming from the beach. It's a well know place and straightening it up doesn't look right

I don't agree either - it does look better when the verticals are corrected. The problem is that rotating the image loses the man's foot completely. However, that can be avoided if it is straightened by distorting the rectangle.

I straightened it while keeping the incline of the pathand preserving as much foot as possible

I just wish i had taken a quick step back to get the foot in but then Im never 100% happy with any of my photos

Losing too much foot.
What or how did you get it straightened out but maintained as much of the foot?
When I turn it I lose loads
