Hello all I havent taken any pictures for a good 18 months but went into town today to ttry out this hip shooting. Never had the courage for people shots before so whole new concept for me. Got lots of shots and only these 2 were half good I no the clouds in first one are too bright but wondered what people thought and if any one has any hints or tips for people shots as I off for a fun day thingy tomorrow so may try again. Hope I uploaded pics at right size cant remember how to size properly ?

Thank you.

I find that an autofocus wide angle lens (I use the DA21 Ltd) works best, let the camera sort out focus and exposure. One of those cheap bubble spirit level thinggies that clips into the flash bracket helps to get things straight until you get the hang of it - the camera usually needs to point down more than you think. The main problem is allowing enough time for the shake reduction to lock in after pressing the shutter button.

I used 50mm pre focused ish before went out basically set it up to luck really and just having a play. I have nothing wider then 50mm sadly YET
I did find a lot of the shots were at the sky or floor so need to practice levels and angles I think. Will have another shot tomorrow.

Thank you for your comments.
