Hi everyone just joined
i haven't a clue about anything dslr but iv always wanted to give it a go
i like the idea of hdr thats why iv got my mind set on a k-r
photography has been a hobby of mine for years and iv used mainly bridge cameras eg fuji hs10 ect and once back in the early 80's i owned for a short time a Zenit ES

Hi Martin,

welcome. I had a KX and then the KR befoe moving up to the K5. All brilliant cameras. The new K30 looks good too.

Recent Pentax sensors already have a high dynamic range. The KR does have the trick of fine aligning the images using the shake reduction solenoids so in camera HDR is easier than before. Personally I never use it as I think it tends to look unnatural. Others on here with HDR experience will give you their opinions I'm sure

spent the last 2 hours looking thru posts
every one so interesting so i know im going to be here for a while
just hope hope you lot will be able to put up with me ..with all the dumb questions im going to be asking
