You could try using a rocket blower around the switch's, maybe some dust trapped behind them?

I've preferred pentax cameras for most of my photography and have an MZ-5 and MZ-5n (yes old but great) but the standard five has the good old drive cog issue that needs repairing and th pop up flash issue, although the 5n is ok still.
Ive joined to get some info on my wives optio E30 which seems to be stuck in program green mode and the four way controller buttons won't work
