My name is Mick....aka MickeyB73... I am buying a K7 in the next couple of weeks and found this great site today. I look forward to posting with you all. Hopefully I can get a few pointers from alot of you about how to work the K7. I was a devoted Nikon user for the last 12 years of these 22 years as a photographer. Finally got fed up with the whole full frame FX vs. DX line. Started looking and chose the underdog over the big 2. I use to use a K1000 which probably most of you had.. and I loved it. A work horse. I hope I have the same experience with the K7 that I did with the K1000.

Hi Mick
welcome to the best place for info on your new K7
I wouldn't say the pentax brand is the underdog, just undiscovered

Hi Mick, welcome to the forum
I'm sure you will be pleased with the K-7, it's one of those cameras that the more you use it the more you like it (for me at least)

I haven't got it yet. I am waiting for my Nikon to sell so I can order it. How does this sound for a keen little set up? The K-7 with grip, 18-55 WR, a 60-250mm f/4, and a 15mm limited. I did win an auction for an AF-360 flash today. So it should be on it's way. Anyone have any experience positive or negative with the little 15mm. I've heard nothing but good stuff about itso far? I do have a queation about it though. Can a filter fit on the front? I know it has the retractable pedel hood, but I really would like to have a protective filter on there too. I have Cokin filters I like to play with too. Thanks.
