Hi, just joined

Just want to say hello to everyone. MY first camera was an MEF which I had for 20 odd years before it broke. Then a long absence before getting a bridge camera for a year, I could not get on with it. Now I have a Pentax K-R.
I just can't believe all the functions and capabilities it has. Its is the bees knees. Due to poor British weather I played around with at it indoors for sometime before I have managed to get outside and I am Very impressed with the results. I have to appologise that I don't know much about using photo processing software.

No need to apologise. Just concentrate on getting good photos and you won't need it. When you decide you want to learn about imaging software just ask and there is always someone on the forum who can answer your question.

I know Ed. is just being helpful there but it is a little misleading to say you don't need imaging software .. absolutely you do. Virtually every shot you see on line or in a forum has been processed through some sort of software so ask around here, do some research and then jump in and buy the one (or maybe try something like Picassa - free and works in both Apple OS & Windows) that rings your bell.

Thanks all. Been playing around with the supplied Pentax software also now Picassa.
