Here's an interesting trick...

This works easily on my mac, but I'm sure somebody else has the know how to work it on a pc.
1) use Pentax remote assistant with my ds2 to take pics on intervalometer.
2) set Image Capture's (apple software)web sharing to remotely ascess the camera.
3) use Safari (apple web browser) to remotely view and download images from my *st ds2. (click bonjour, then the camera)
There is a remote operation function that works with my canon g5/pro1 but not the pentax. (It allows me to fire the shutter on demand from the web,) but the viewer function works and allows me to view the images and download them to my mac, and to erase the memory card. If I set my folder in the Pentax Remote software to use my Pictures folder in my Idisk, I can access my images from any web browser through my website.
Home security, bird feeder shots, pet kennel etc.
This is fun to play with.
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

It'd be easy enough to do the same on a PC or Linux. If you're into that sort of thing.
