A few definitions are here:
www.bdimitrov.de/kmp/technology/lens_terms.html
The rest:
AF = Auto Focus
SDM = Supersonic Dynamic Motor (motor built into lens)
DA = Digital Auto (I guess)
Tamron's "Di" just means the lens has coatings suitable for use with digital cameras. LD = Low Disperson.

Thanks Icebreaker
What fish eye lens would you recommend?
Also, apart from Pentax lenses, what other manufactures fit and what shall I look out for?

I can't exactly recommend a fish eye lens - cos I don't have one myself - but apparently the Pentax 10-17mm is very good. Search the forum for more info on that and others.
Also consider a Pentax 12-24mm or Sigma 10-20mm if you fancy ultra wide but without the the fish eye effect.
The big three independent manufacturers for Pentax-fit lenses at the moment are Sigma, Tamron and Tokina. They all produce high quality stuff.
Loads of older lenses from other manufacturers are on the second-hand market - some very obscure. Some might be rubbish, some can get jammed on a modern camera! So do your research before buying one.
