Welcome, nice kit to be starting out with.
Unfortunately Sigma do not make the 150mm f2.8 macro for Pentax mount so you will have to make do with the 180mm
Can I ask whey you went with body only when the price with the weather resistant kit lens is typically only around £20/30 more ?

hello ,in anwer to mike-p the reviews i read did not rate kit lens and put the 16-45 as a better option also staying local to purchase the difference was £50 which on the info i had was better spent toward the lens i purchased. if its wrong time will tell,unfortunately this is how we usually learn. or at least i do, hopefully not again with the vast resource of the pentax community to call on. cheers all

Hi Joseph, welcome to the forum
Congratulations on the K-7 I'm sure you will be happy with it. Like Mike says I went for the kit with mine simply because it was too good a bargain to pass up at only £20 extra. I don't use it that often but it is nice little zoom if not stella in performance.

picked up k7 today & lenses, now to sit down & study. in reply to gareth alas the busa has gone to a new home, the guys i rode with have civen up for various reasons so it did not get used,it,s gone to a good home though. anyway back to camera ,lovely thing really comfortable, feels really solid build quality. but i,m preaching to the converted, will shut up now, wait for the battery to charge and plough through the manual &pray for a good weekend to get out with it.cheers

thanks for all the replies. thought i would let you know some info i,ve been given & see if any of you have any thoughts, sigma are no longer producing the 180mm macro for sony or pentax. if this is correct it does not leave a 150 -180 range macro for pentax from any manufacturer,ive searched the net & can find nothing. does anyone out there know any diffent because i would really like one.thanks

There is a Pentax FA*200mm macro, very good but $$$ if you can find one
I'm sure you can find a 180mm sigma lurking around in a shop somewhere.
