Hello from Wales

Hi everyone, just thought I should introduce myself as a new member, just got my first DSLR which will take me some time to get used to, up till now I have used a small but nice Pentax point n shoot, so there a very steep learning curve ahead of me.
Looking forward to reading the comments on the forum which will go a long way to help me take some good images.
The user manual looks like a small bible so thats going to take me some time to get through.

Anyways its nice to be part of this group.

Welcome to the forum. Whereabouts in the Principality are you based?

That's one thing that I liked about my Pentax: a decent printed manual on paper. It doesn't just warn you not to put the camera into boiling water, the microwave oven, etc, but actually has much practical info in it. And one does not have to read it on screen!

Wow!!! nice reception from everyone, thanks to everyone for the kind comments, I'm presently reading through the manual, and (OldTaffy) your absolutely right, what a nice surprise to get something these days with a printed and comprehensive manual. Its really helpful to visit the various gallery pages from you guys and get some tips on various settings and different ways of seeing the world around us.
