I've just part exchanged my new Olympus E620 with 50mm F2 MACRO and gone back to Pentax (which were my first camera(s)an MX amd ME super)and bought myself the SMC FA31mm f1.8 ltd in silver. I'm now interested in the 77mm lens but my wife thinks I should actually get a decent body (which she's always telling me)so I can actually use the lens first instead of just staring at it. Anyway I'm glad I've switched back.
Cheers.

Hello George,
No not at the momemt. I got the lens as it was at the old price. Not to sure if to buy used or wait until funds permit. Still I can't wait to try it out.
Thanks

The 31mm is incredibly good. Buy a second-hand *ist DS or something on Ebay; that lens will make a silk purse out of any sow's ear.

Hello,
Yes the F2 macro is very sharp but I found with the 4/3rd system
to much depth of field even at F2 and the 50mm also became a 100mm lens which was just a bit to long for me having only the one lens. Anyway I love the build quality of these Pentax ltd lenses. Yes I am watching 3 *ist on the bay as we speak. Thanks for the advise.
