Hello from the Sunny Potteries!

Hi Everyone,

Having recently joined PU so I thought I should start by saying hello.

I'm a very proud owner of a K10d which I bought new in 2009. My main lenses are Pentax 16-45mm f4 and the special little 40mm Ltd ed lens. I'm also able to borrow some other Pentax kit from my Father who has recently bought a 70mm Ltd which is a beauty and the best lens I've ever used!

I love to go out with my K10d, whilst walking in the countryside. I also enjoy taking animal and people portraits - using an Elinchrom lighting kit although I prefer to use natural light where ever possible.

I have a slight tendency to use B&W over colour, which is probably due to a past life of developing my own negs and prints in a spare bedroom. Thanks to the K10d the bedroom is now a library and the occasional film, which is usually TriX, has me heading for the cupboard under the stairs.

Any constructive feedback to keep me thinking is most welcome and I hope others enjoy my portfolio.

Best wishes to you all
Dave

Welcome dave - Tri-X is probably the finest black and white film ever made. Gritty, sharp and wonderful in Paterson FX-39.
Best regards, John

Welcome Dave

Yes - the 40 Ltd certainly is an eye opener. It's got me going with Ltd LBA... which your comments about the 70 don't help

Thanks Tim,
I know what you mean,

My wife's gone and hid my wallet just because I mentioned how lovely the 15mm looks!!

Cheers

Thanks John,

I've not tried Tri-X with the FX-39, may have to give it go. I've been using Rodinal which I liked as it accentuates all that lovely grain especially when pushed!

Cheers
Dave
