Welcome to the forum Stein! We are a friendly lot on the whole.
I look forward to seeing some of your photos if you feel like posting them here. I admit you will struggle to find mine. I don't post photos online very often.

Thanks for the welcome. The instruction for uploading photos is rather old/outdated, so I'll just ask about the optimal size. I figure that with 1000 pix per largest dimension I can't go wrong? Of course, please forgive me for making mistakes here and there (spelling/grammar) as English is not my mother tongue. For no particular reason, here's a shot of an old CASE tractor and one that I made when I stopped by the road to catch a sunrise...

As you say, you can't go wrong with 1000 pixels on the longest length. In the Gallery section you can go larger than that if you wish, but I wouldn't upload more than 2000 pixels even there.
Best regards, John

I'm located in Subotica, Vojvodina (North of Serbia, just right next to the Southern Hungarian border). Not much I can say about myself except that I share the same love for photography as the rest of the people here. Choice of the gear I have is limited to what I can afford, but it's a Pentax. K-S1 (kit) with SMC-Pentax DA L 18-55mm f3.5-5.6, SMC-Pentax DA 50mm f1.8, Sigma DL Hyperzoom 28-300mm f3.5-6.3 and a Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Di Macro.
Have no special interests except maybe macro as I get crazy when the bugs start crawling out in the Spring
