Hi, my name is Steve and I have just bought myself a K30. I have been using an Olympus bridge camera for about 6 years and felt the need to upgrade. I had been looking at the usual, Canon, Nikon, Sony etc, not even considered Pentax to be honest, when I remembered (it's my age) I have some Pentax K mount lenses from my 35mm film days when I used a Chinon CE4S. I did some investigating and found it was quite simple to use these on the K30 albeit with limited functions. I have to say I am very pleased with the results so for and can't wait to get out when I get home from work and on a weekend.
Regards
Steve

Hello and Welcome to the Forum. I started with Pentax in much the same way, only the film camera was a Ricoh. So full circle

Hello and Welcome

That's bizarre - my first digital jobbie was an Olympus C750 bridge camera

And

I tend to use a manual lens or too as well
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.

Hello Steve! Welcome to the forum! I too came from an Olmypus bridge camera, the C-740UZ!

We got a good bunch of people here, the forums are very "warm".

...and welcome from Knaresborough
No matter how many lenses I have owned - I have always needed just one more
