Hello from new user...

Hi all

I have been reading here past few weeks,seems this is a great community.
Inspired by all your good conmments about pentax I have treated myself with a pentax K20d from park cameras..
I want to buy a one lens at present how about the DA 16-50 mm what price should I expect to pay for a used copy.

As a new user of the K20d I am still learning with the help of experienced users here at forum and by reading the K20d User manual but so far I am pleased with it.

The DA*16-50 would be an excellent choice as a starter lens but they don't come up used very often - expect to pay around £400 if they do. You can get a new one with two years' warranty for £450 from SRS so it'd probably be worth the extra just in case it needed to be returned for any reason.

If your budget doesn't run to that then the DA18-55 would make for an excellent stand in while you save a bit.

* symbol with lens name suggests it is a pentax's finest optical engineering.

That is the ex demo lens, and they sell new one at the price of 475 quids.

There is a DA 16-50 mm lens on Ebay uk at this link,not much used according to its detail.
Will try bidding on it

Yeah i saw it was Ex. dem. but it is from SRS and has 2yr. warrenty. all you can do is bid want you think on ebay and wait and see

Barrie, thanks for that but I am thinking about other lens which seems less used and also has some warranty left so finger crossed placed the bid.
