Hello Tom and welcome to the forum.
I use a Metz 58 AF-1 P and I find it very good, others on the forum will no doubt give you their opinions.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
One thing to bear in mind with flashes is the firing modes offered by them. I see you have quite a few manual lenses which will work fine on the K10D, however, you can't use the P-TTL flash protocol with a manual lens attached (the flash gets confused and just goes off at maximum power). Pentax flashes (AF360FGZ and AF540FGZ) feature three modes of operation, namely P-TTL/TTL (where the camera measures the light - only available to you with your DA18-55 currently), Manual (where you set all parameters of flash and camera - suitable for all lenses) and Auto (where the flashgun measures the light - again suitable for all lenses).
Be careful with many of the third-party flashguns as they often only offer P-TTL/TTL and Manual. Although they'd still be workable (manually) having an Auto mode would be far preferable in your situation. I use the Pentax AF360FGZ and find it to be a great little workhorse.

Hello and welcome Tom
I'm red green colourblind, I sometimes have to get the wife to check images if I fiddle with the colour - so usually I leave the actual colour balance!

I'm currently thinking of buying a flash unit, so any advice would be welcome.
