Hi all my name is Steve I'm 60 years old , married for 38 years 2 daughters in their 30's and 1 grand baby , I'm a dental lab tech . My first DSLR was the k10d and now have a k3 . I use the cameras for taking photos of teeth with a shade guide next to the teeth to help me match the shade of porcelain to use . A tooth has many colors and to get all the colors to show up on the photo like in real life is the goal . To do this I use the Pentax 100mm f/2.8 WR D FA smc Macro Lens . Sometimes I'll take the camera out and get some photos of my nephew's running cross country ,flowers , animals like horses ,squirrels, birds ext . I like the older manual lens and have collect a few . When I don't have the 100 mm lens on , I mainly use the sigma 70-200mm 2.8 and the sigma 18-35mm 1.8 . I started off using a camera in 1971 I was 12 years old , using a Minolta super 3 my dad bought me on the streets of Italy on a 2 month trip around Europe I was hooked . I'm thinking about getting the Pentax GPS Unit O-GPS1 Hotshoe and giving some night astrotracking from the camera a try . When I get the gps attachment I might need some help with the astrotracker . I can't figure out how to add a profile photo .
