Hi folks,
Just to update, have bought a used K-7 from SRS. Much nicer experience (even Watford in the rain!) than messing with ebay! Nice camera. Still getting my head around the controls!
No doubt will be asking many questions on the SLR forum page!

And in addition, just use it - Get some images up on the forum, and learn by doing.

Just joined, so please be aware of my lack of experience!
Haven't got a current working Pentax at present, but am looking for a decent dslr, probably a secondhand K20D.
Will be shooting Raw mostly. Use Photoshop and advise customers in colour management for a living.
Spending a lot of my spare time in scanning and printing many old colour and mono negs taken on my old ME Super from about 1981 to 2001 when it packed up. Still have it and the lenses. Have been using a lesser breed of digital since then.
So would a K20D be a good choice. Probably from a dealer on ebay. I fancy having a chance of returning it if it is no good. What would be a good price? I don't see point of buying a K200d s/h for almost price of a new K-r.
