Hi to one and all, I recently registered on the site and have enjoyed looking at all the stunning photographs in the site gallery.

I am quite new to photography haviing woken up one morning a couple of years ago and decided I wanted to take photographs. I purchased a cheapish Fuji bridge camera in case the desire fizzled out but I found myself getting the bug more and more. Eventually I became frustrated by the limitations in the quality of the camera images.

After endless research I decided on the Pentax K-x as my choice for an entry level DSLR. This choice in turn led me to this site and forums. I have a lot to learn but little by little I am getting to grips with the various terminology and concepts behind DSLR photography.

Anyway enough for now. Hope to pop in and contribute in the future.

Best wishes

Jim

Welcome Jim - you're certainly in a picturesque part of the world so plenty of opportunity to put that camera to good use. Went to school in Macclesfield....
