Sounds a great price Spad.
They've suddenly become exceptional value for money.
Worst case scenario...SDM failure out of warranty...can convert to screw drive or in my case i'd just use it as a manual focus lens. Speaking of which I've noticed manual focus on my copy is very slightly sharper than AF at 135 end and about 25m distance...I might need to make an adjustment to the focus...front or back.
Image quality is excellent though.

Anyone who buys a DA* SDM lens, regardless of price or apparent condition, needs to bear in mind that it will likely need multiple repairs or conversion to screw-drive. That needs to be factored into the purchase - are you willing to spend the additional money or time.

I have bought two lenses from MPB....Tamron 17-50, massively decentred. They replaced, at my request, with Sigma 17-70, the HSM was failing. Jumble sale! I hope you get it sortedSoad.
