Hardcastle Crags in October

From an afternoon wander on Thursday, the first decent day for ages, it seemed. Mainly autumn leaves catching the sunlight in this group, with the water flowing in the background. All comments welcome. Taken with K-1 and first time out with Sigma 70-300mm.

Yes, definately No 6! The timing was perfect with those ducks. This one also is where the fairly low contrast works ... Some of the others I feel would benefit from a boost towards the blacks.

Thanks, all, for your comments. 6 was the one I almost didn't post as I wasn't sure about the comparative lack of contrast, so I'm pleased it found some approval! I did feel that the contrast in most of the others was sufficient without being over the top, but tastes differ. The autumn leaves don't show a huge amount of contrast anyway, and the watery background was just that - watery. More to follow on the water front!
