I always forget to remove the lens cap before turning the blighter on -)
But i ordered one of these from ebay, and now it's no longer an issue

I can take your point about forgetting to remove the lens cap. Although I've got it now, I just have to concentrate on what I'm doing!

Those are very good - I had one on my Panasonic. Must order one for my new MX-1 - thanks for the link Ian.

I put my MX up for sale but 250 people silently told me to keep it, so I gave it a new leather cover replacing the original rubber one.

The alternative lens cap is a good idea I just need something to stop me putting the blighter to my eye the first time I go to take a picture! Everytime, without fail, really starting to drive me mad lol.
