I'm after a hand strap/grip for my K20D
it must have pentax in bright red on it like our neck straps

can any one give me a link to one, as the neck strap can get stuck under peoples feet and cause a lot of damage to your camera at weddings

A BIT LIKE THIS ONE

Hello James,

Pentax keep promising to release a Neoprene neck strap with quick detachable clips, for using the camera on tripods,or situations such as you mention, when the strap would be in the way.

So far it has been like trying to get ***t out of a Rocking Horse!

If you are interested in one of these, Chris at SRS is still trying to obtain one for me and other members!

Only hand straps I have seen are made by HAMA.

Hope this is of use,

Regards,
Peter

I bought this one last week but I don't like the clamp on the bottom because it is a bit slack, link

I've found this one link but I did want the logo in red to show that it's a pentax at a distance

I can say the construction of that one is good, I've something similar for my K10D. There is a strap that goes around your wrist securing it in place so it's not like the one Jack showed you.

For the bright pentax letters, only pentax can of course use there logo and since that is their only handstrap you don't have much choice

SRS has one just like that made by Kenro and it's great! I bought one a while ago, I believe it's about £8 or thereabouts. It's not on their website, but it's certainly in the store!

The link from Stefan is for the US only. Contact SRS and ask for the Kenro one, it's also cheaper and better as the tripod mount is in line with the cameras own, the US one is offset.

I've got one of these: link . They aren't particularly pretty and they don't have Pentax on. But they do use a clip system through the camera strap loops; which means you can unclip it and clip in an Optech neckstrap as desired (though you have to have a clip on the other loop to do this). And the tripod mount is totally unaffected.

Prior to getting this I used the supplied strap which I snagged on handles a few times. Once this led to the camera & lens crashing onto a hard floor with some impact, though fortunately both were okay.

I much prefer the wriststrap, and find it more convenient to grip it in my hand.

Richard, wasn't mine link, only commented on it
Think I've the same grip as you've.
